Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) launched the "Metaverse for Startups" competition, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Meta, the American University in Cairo, Simplon, and Meta Academy. The university selected ten startups from 17 applicants to participate in the competition, which was evaluated by a jury of experts.
