The IEEE Computer Society Region 8 concludes AI Caravan

The IEEE Computer Society Region 8 concluded the AI Caravan 2025 program at the Imhotep Innovation Center in the Knowledge City, in collaboration with EUI. AI Caravan is a pioneering initiative designed to bridge the artificial intelligence knowledge gap and empower communities through accessible training, practical application, and cross-institutional collaboration. With the guiding vision of “The Right to Knowledge and Practical Application in Artificial Intelligence—Leaving No One Behind,” the Caravan embarked on a six-month journey across Egypt, engaging universities, researchers, students, and professionals in hands-on learning and dialogue about the future of AI.

AI Caravan brought together IEEE Region 8 leaders and academic partners to sign a Memorandum of Understanding, affirming their shared commitment to advancing AI awareness and skills development. The Caravan traveled across major academic institutions—including Nile University, AUC, the German University in Cairo, and  Egypt University of Informatics (EUI)—delivering workshops, seminars, and collaborative activities that highlighted AI’s role in diverse fields such as healthcare, education, finance, and cybersecurity.

The journey concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony at the University of Informatics in Egypt, where participants celebrated the initiative’s success, exchanged insights, and reaffirmed the importance of inclusive, ethical, and impactful AI education. By fostering knowledge-sharing and volunteer-driven collaboration, the AI Caravan has become a landmark program for advancing AI literacy and innovation in Egypt and across IEEE Region 8.
