Who We Are

One of the first specialized universities in Communications and Information Technology

Overview

At the heart of the Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has established Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), aiming to become a pioneering institution specializing in Communications and Information Technology (ICT) and related fields across the Middle East and Africa.

EUI, a non-profit university, endeavors to cultivate a specialized ICT community and empower youth with digital skills tailored to meet the demands of local, regional, and international job markets. Its establishment is a pivotal component of MCIT's initiatives to foster an integrated information society and bolster the growth of the ICT sector within the New Administrative Capital. Recognizing EUI's potential to produce top-tier ICT professionals, Former President of Egypt, Counsellor Adly Mansour, has graciously accepted the role of Chairperson for the University's Board of Trustees, comprising esteemed members from academia, the ICT industry, media, and public spheres.

Comprising four faculties—Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, and Digital Arts and Design, EUI offers technology-centric, interdisciplinary programs tailored to address emerging technologies, business dynamics, and applied disciplines.

EUI has attracted a cadre of distinguished faculty members with extensive international teaching and research experience in challenging fields. The administrative framework adheres to the highest standards. At the same time, academic courses in Digital Transformation, AI, Data Engineering, and other cutting-edge domains have been meticulously crafted by Egyptian and international experts. These courses, designed to meet global benchmarks while adhering to local quality and accreditation standards, are delivered through dual degree agreements with leading universities worldwide. Successful graduates, who meet the requirements of the partner university receive an EUI degree alongside the foreign university degree.

Under these dual degree agreements, successful candidates spend their final year at partner universities abroad, with blended courses offered during their initial years at EUI. Notable partnerships include agreements in Electrical and Computer Engineering with Purdue University, West Lafayette (PWL) (ranked #4 in Engineering, according to US News 2023, and with the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, (ranked #35 in Computer Science, according to US News 2023, in addition to Telfer School of Management in Finance, Business Technology Management, and Marketing with Telfer School of Management (ranked within the top 1% of business schools in the world with the triple crown accreditation: AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS), the University of Ottawa (ranked#10 among the best Canadian universities in US.
