Biography

Prof. Hoda M. O. Mokhtar received the B.Sc. degree (Distinction with Honors) in 1997 and the M.Sc. degree in 2000 from the Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB), in 2005.
Dr. Hoda Mokhtar is a professor of data engineering in the information systems department of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence. She has been the Information Systems Department Chair at the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence since 2019.


She contributed to teaching multiple courses for the undergraduate and graduate levels and supervised several MSc and Ph.D. theses. Her research interests include big data analytics, data warehousing, data mining, database systems, social network analysis, bioinformatics, and location-based systems. She also received multiple awards and certificates for her academic achievements.
