Prof. Reem Bahgat Honored in a New Book Celebrating 25 Years of Egypt's ICT Sector
The recently published book "من مصر المعلوماتية الي مصر الرقمية .... 25 سنة اتصالات" has dedicated a chapter to the outstanding achievements of Egyptian women in the field of ICT. Titled "نساء لمعن فى سماء المعلوماتية" this chapter highlights 17 influential women who have held executive positions in both local and international companies and notable government roles. Among these esteemed figures is Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), who is recognized for her significant contributions to academia and the tech industry.
Authored by journalist Mohamed Lotfy, Chief Editor of ICT Business and Head of the ICT Journalists Division at the Journalists Syndicate, this book marks the 25th anniversary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. It documents the ministry’s journey and Egypt’s digital transformation since its inception in October 1999. With over 300 pages, the book captures Egypt's ICT sector's extensive evolution and impact on the nation’s digital future.
