Mohamed Alaa Achieves Major Wins at AAAI 2026 in Singapore

Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) proudly celebrates Mohamed Alaa, a Senior Engineering student in EUI's / Purdue West Lafayette Dual degree in Computer Engineering, for his remarkable success at the AAAI 2026 international artificial intelligence conference in Singapore. 

At the event’s 3MT (Three-Minute Thesis) competition, where students present complex research in just three minutes using a single slide, Mohamed clinched the winner title. He also received the Best Undergraduate Student Poster Award, highlighting his outstanding research communication and technical contribution among a global field of contestants. 

The AAAI conference is one of the world’s premier gatherings for AI researchers, educators, and students, bringing together participants from across the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Mohamed’s achievement not only reflects his individual talent but also showcases the strength of EUI’s academic preparation and international collaborations in cutting-edge technology fields.
