Launch of the IEEE SSCS Student Chapter

The Faculty of Engineering proudly announces the official launch of the IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society (SSCS) Student Chapter under the umbrella of the IEEE EUI Student Branch.

This milestone marks a significant step in strengthening EUI’s technical ecosystem in microelectronics and solid-state circuits—two of the most critical engineering domains shaping today’s and tomorrow’s technologies. The establishment of the chapter reflects EUI’s continued commitment to advancing high-impact technical education, fostering hands-on learning, and providing early professional exposure for its students.

The IEEE SSCS EUI Student Chapter will focus on building strong theoretical foundations and practical competencies in key areas, including:

  • Analog and Digital Integrated Circuit Design

  • Microelectronics and Semiconductor Technologies

  • Advanced Hardware Systems and Emerging Applications

Through structured technical activities, specialized workshops, expert-led sessions, and collaboration with academic and industry professionals, the chapter aims to bridge the gap between classroom knowledge and real-world engineering practice.

The launch represents the beginning of a long-term strategic effort to cultivate a technically strong, innovation-driven, and globally competitive student community within the IEEE framework. The chapter will serve as a platform for students to engage in cutting-edge discussions, develop research interests, and expand their professional networks within the international IEEE community.
