EUI Presents Three Years of Achievements at Cairo ICT 2024

Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), emphasized that the university has made significant strides over the past three years in advanced academic education and distinguished scientific research, aligning with the national strategy of the New Republic for sustainable education. This vision aims to prepare generations who are well aware of life’s demands and developments, recognizing them as the cornerstone of building a knowledge-based economy. This is achieved through their active participation in research, entrepreneurship, and the labor market.

Prof. Bahgat highlighted these achievements during her presentation on EUI’s three-year progress to H.E.Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, and H.E.Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, at the opening of the Cairo ICT 2024 Conference and Exhibition. The event is held from November 17–20 under the patronage of His Excellency, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi at the Egypt International Exhibition Center in New Cairo.

During her presentation, Prof. Bahgat stated: "At Egypt University of Informatics, we believe in the importance of education and its role in the development and prosperity of nations. This is why we all work within a systematic strategy and forward-looking vision that focuses on equipping human capital with knowledge and science to achieve sustainable development. This has been made possible thanks to the unlimited support we receive from H.E. Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who ensures all requirements for advanced and distinguished education are provided. This has made us an academic beacon capable of graduating well-educated generations equipped with the skills needed for the current and future labor markets."

Prof. Bahgat explained that EUI follows a clear scientific strategy aimed at achieving global competitiveness in evaluation indicators. As a result, the academic programs offered to students are aligned with those of prestigious international universities. This stems from the belief that education and investment in people are critical pillars for the progress and advancement of nations, as well as for the sustainability of development.

Regarding scientific research, she noted that the university boasts a distinguished team of top-tier faculty members from Egypt and abroad. This strengthens EUI’s mission to lead research in modern tools. These faculty members also surpass expectations through joint research efforts, contributing to the academic and practical skill development of students. This, in turn, enhances their contribution to advancing various sectors as part of the national strategy to empower and localize the ICT industry in Egypt, with graduates meeting global standards.

Prof. Bahgat also highlighted the partnerships established by EUI since its inception with prestigious globally ranked universities. These partnerships grant students dual degrees, allowing successful candidates to earn a degree from EUI alongside a degree from the partner university abroad. Selected students spend their final year on the partner university’s campus abroad, with some integrated courses delivered by the partner institution during the early years of their studies at EUI.
