EUI Delegation Visits Lancaster University to Showcase iSkills Project Success

Building on the impactful collaboration established through the iSkills project hosted at Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), a distinguished delegation from EUI’s Faculty of Business Informatics recently visited Lancaster University for a three-day academic engagement. The iSkills project is a joint initiative between EUI and Lancaster University, funded by the British Council, aimed at enhancing employability through inclusive, skills-based learning.
The EUI delegation comprising Prof. Samaa Taher Attia, Dr. Mennatallah Abdallah, and Ms. Doaa Elharaky was warmly received by Dr. Mahmoud Gad, Associate Professor at Lancaster University Management School, and Dr. Eman Gadallah, Lecturer at the same institution.
The visit kicked off with a major milestone: the joint presentation of an accepted research paper titled “Inclusive Pathways to Employability – iSkills: Career Catalyst Program” during the Lancaster University Education Conference 2025. The presentation, delivered by both Egyptian and British collaborators, sparked significant interest among attendees, who praised the project's innovative approach and measurable impact.
On the second day, the EUI team conducted an in-depth presentation of the iSkills project to the entire Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) community. The session extended over an hour and drew enthusiastic responses from faculty and students alike, who commended the program’s objectives and EUI’s academic vision.
The final day of the visit saw the team participating in the Pentland Centre Festival of Sustainability at Lancaster University. Here, the EUI delegation engaged with prominent figures in the field of sustainability, many of whom had contributed to the iSkills program, either in person or virtually. The team also attended several thought-provoking presentations and discussions aligned with the project’s goals.
This fruitful visit not only strengthened the partnership between EUI and Lancaster University but also reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing inclusive, future-ready education through international collaboration.
