EUI Celebrates DEPI Second Cohort Graduation
EUI celebrated the graduation of the second round of the Digital Egypt Pioneers Initiative (DEPI), which ran from November 2024 to May 2025 across multiple specialized tracks.
Organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the program aimed to equip young talents with future-ready digital skills and hands-on experience aligned with Egypt’s growing technology and innovation sectors.
Over the course of six months, participating students engaged in intensive technical and professional training across a range of high-demand tracks, including Frontend Web Development, UI/UX Design, and other emerging digital disciplines. The program combined theoretical learning with practical application, enabling students to develop real-world competencies in coding, design, teamwork, and project delivery.
Participants gained valuable experience in building responsive digital solutions, applying user-centric design principles, working with modern development frameworks, and collaborating on team-based projects that simulate real industry environments. In addition to technical expertise, the initiative emphasized soft skills development, business communication, and freelancing readiness to support students’ transition into the workforce.
The program was delivered in collaboration with leading partners, including Berlitz Egypt and EYouth for Development, ensuring a comprehensive learning journey that integrated technical knowledge with professional and language skills.
The graduation of this second cohort reflects EUI’s continued commitment to empowering youth with advanced digital capabilities and preparing them to contribute effectively to Egypt’s digital transformation and knowledge-based economy. Through initiatives like DEPI, EUI reinforces its role as a hub for innovation, talent development, and industry-aligned education in the ICT sector.
