Ahmed Sayed’s Journey at Purdue West Lafayette!

In a shining example of academic excellence and global collaboration, Ahmed Sayed,  one of EUI's standout students, has completed the dual-degree program with Purdue University, majoring in Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Achieving a stellar cumulative GPA of 3.95, Ahmed earned a well-deserved spot on the Dean’s List. He received recognition for Semester Honors, a testament to their dedication, resilience, and high performance throughout the rigorous program.

As part of their academic journey, the student completed a cutting-edge graduation project in the field of Autonomous Racing, working alongside the renowned Purdue AI Racing team. The project brought together artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop high-speed, self-driving vehicles. With the guidance and support of Graduate Teaching Assistant Andres Hoyos, the experience offered hands-on exposure to real-world innovation at the intersection of AI and engineering.

In Fall 2024, Ahmed also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for Electrical Engineering Fundamentals I, providing academic support through both online and in-person office hours and assisting in the preparation of recitation sessions. This role not only helped fellow students succeed but also allowed the student to reinforce their foundational knowledge in the field.

This success story is a proud milestone for EUI and a clear example of the powerful opportunities available through its international academic partnerships.
