ESL/EFL Instructor

Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), located in the New Administrative Capital, is seeking qualified candidates to fill multiple ESL/EFL Instructor positions on a full-time basis in the English Language Department for the Academic Year 2025–2026.

Role Purpose: 
  • Deliver high-quality English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instruction across various disciplines, including Art & Design, Business, and Engineering & Computing.

  • Provide a stimulating and rewarding language learning experience for students.

  • Apply best practices in teaching, lesson planning, learning support, and assessment using diverse resources and pedagogical approaches.

  • Ensure instruction is informed by current research, and support students in developing critical thinking, debate, and academic discourse skills.

  • Engage in critical reflection of teaching practices and actively contribute to quality assurance and enhancement processes.

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the English Language Department and across the broader EUI community.

  • Participate in professional development activities as required.

Key Responsibilities: 
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English language lessons tailored to the academic needs of students across EUI faculties.

  • Track student progress, provide regular feedback, and encourage learner autonomy.

  • Contribute to the design, evaluation, and enhancement of English language curricula, materials, and services.

  • Perform administrative tasks related to teaching and assessment in a timely and professional manner.

  • Engage in continuous professional development and performance review processes to maintain high teaching standards. 

Qualifications :
Essential: 
  • A recognized ELT certificate (e.g., CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL) is mandatory.

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.

  • At least two years of full-time post-certificate teaching experience with young adults and adults. Exceptional candidates with less than two years of experience may also be considered.

  • University-level teaching experience is highly valued. 

Desirable: 
  • A recognized ELT diploma, such as DELTA or Trinity DipTESOL (or equivalent).

  • A master’s degree in ELT/TESOL or a related field is preferred but not required.
