CIS Lab Engineer

The Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences (CIS) at EUI is committed to delivering high-quality education while fostering knowledge and innovation in computer science. The Faculty is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lab Engineer to join its dynamic and dedicated team on a full-time basis.

Job Responsibilities:
•    Oversee and manage the daily operations of computer science laboratories, ensuring that all equipment and software are fully functional.
•    Assist faculty and students in preparing laboratory experiments, projects, and practical sessions.
•    Collaborate with the IT Department to ensure laboratories are updated and operate efficiently.
•    Enforce safety protocols and guidelines for lab usage.
•    Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to students and faculty members.
•    Periodically update the faculty’s inventory and lab requirements and coordinate with vendors for procurement and maintenance.
•    Stay informed about the latest advancements in computer science and integrate emerging technologies into the lab environment.

Qualifications:
•    A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
•    Proven experience in a laboratory or technical support role.
•    Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking.
•    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
•    Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
•    Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Proficiency in organizing and preparing labs, including setting up equipment and ensuring materials are ready for use.
