Omar Shafie, a standout student at the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences, has earned the "Most Outstanding Research Paper" award and claimed the top position as the No. 1 Overall Submission at the MISR7 (7th Medical Integrated Student Research) Conference. The event, hosted by Ain Shams University, brought together exceptional research talent from across the academic landscape.

Omar’s groundbreaking research, titled "Designing a Novel Low-Cost, Non-Invasive EEG Biosensor for Use in the AI-Powered Brain-Computer Interface 'Delta.BCI' in Lieu of Current Highly Invasive ECoG Solutions," was highly praised for its innovation and potential impact. His work presents a cost-effective, non-invasive alternative to invasive brain-computer interface technologies, paving the way for broader accessibility and advancements in AI-driven neuroscience applications.

Competing against over 70 research papers from more than 10 universities, Omar’s achievement underscores the academic excellence and pioneering spirit fostered within the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences.
