EUI welcomes a delegation from Robert Gordon University

 

Egypt University of Informatics welcomed at its premises in the Knowledge City at the New Administrative Capital a delegation from Robert Gordon University, one of Scotland's reputable universities, to learn about the university and its evolving potential, as well as to explore ways of academic and research cooperation, exchange experiences in scientific research and exchange visits.

 

Prof. Ahmed Hassan, EUI’s Vice President for Academic and Students Affairs, welcomed the delegation of Robert Gordon University during the meeting attended by Prof. Amr El-Masry, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Samaa Taher, Dean of the Faculty of Business Informatics, Prof. Hoda Mokhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences, Prof. Ashraf Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design as well as Dr. Fatma Hamdy, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design.

 

Prof. Ahmed Hassan praised the importance of the visit to enhance the prospects for cooperation between the two universities at all levels.

 

EUI’s Vice President also presented the EUI's strategic directions aimed at enabling the digital transformation system and supporting it with young calibers qualified in the highest scientific and practical standards based on the development of skills in line with the requirements of the future, as well as the advanced academic programs offered by Egypt University of Informatics to its students and how to qualify them in all types of modern science in their disciplines to enable them to lead the future.

 

The Robert Gordon University delegation, including Professor Lynn Kilbride, Vice Principal for Academic Development and Student Experience, and Dr. Donella Beaton, Vice Principal for Economic Development, was pleased to be at the headquarters of Egypt University of Informatics, among the first universities specializing in the Middle East and Africa in the fields of communications, information technology, and affected areas, which corresponds to the nature of Robert Gordon University, the first in Scotland and the second in the United Kingdom in graduates’ employment because of its close relationship with industry and scientific research influencing this sector, as well as having a distinctive campus globally, the University has received a Gold rank in Teaching Excellence (TEF), making it among the top 20% of the UK's universities for bachelor's education and learning quality.

 

Egypt, University of Informatics is among the first specialized universities in the Middle East and Africa in Communications, Information Technology, and their affected areas. It was founded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to become a leading academic institution offering specialized educational programs to meet the need of the labor market with highly expertise ICT professionals.

 

Egypt University of Informatics has four faculties (Engineering, Computing and Information Sciences, Business Informatics, Digital Arts and Design). It offers 16 specialized educational programs to meet the labor market’s needs from specialists in the latest fields of ICT, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Business Analytics, Business Technology Management, Digital Marketing, Animation Arts, User Experience, and Game Design.
