Position Description: The Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences at EUI is seeking talented and qualified candidates for a full-time Associate Professor position in Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the upcoming academic year. Successful candidates will contribute to the faculty’s mission of advancing knowledge and leading the charge of advancement in AI and related fields.
Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in AI and related subjects.
- Conduct high-quality research in AI, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, robotics, deep learning, or related areas and publish findings in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Mentor and supervise research and graduation projects.
- Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses that equip students with the knowledge and skills to excel in the dynamic AI domain.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the faculty and across disciplines.
- Contribute to the development of the AI curriculum within the faculty.
- Participate in departmental and university committees.
- Seek and secure research funding to support research activities.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education.
- Effective oral and written English communication skills.
- University teaching experience, with a commitment to excellence in teaching.
- Demonstrated record of research excellence in AI, with publications in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Familiarity with ABET accreditation requirements (preferred).
