EUI, the first specialized university in Communications, Information Technology and their affected fields in the Middle East and Africa, strives to achieve and sustain the highest quality education and research standards by signing agreements with reputable (top-ranked) international universities. In this direction, EUI has successfully signed three dual degree agreements for the Faculties of Engineering, Computing and Information Sciences and Business Informatics with Purdue West Lafayette (PWL), The University of Minnesota Twin Cities and Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa in Canada.

Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences

Dual Bachelor's degree with the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (ranked #34 in Computer Science in U.S. News, 2023).

The agreement is a dual degree model based on credit transfer so that the successful students who meet the criteria obtain two certificates: a certificate from Egypt University of Informatics and another from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.

 The agreement works as follows:

  • EUI students study the first three years (as Computing and Information Sciences is four years) at EUI.
  • During this period, EUI students will study from 1 to 4 blended online courses taught by the University of Minnesota specialized faculty with EUI faculty support per a study plan agreed upon between both parties. Blended course fees are not included in the fees of EUI to be determined by the University of Minnesota.
  • EUI will establish its degree to be aligned closely with the Partners' degrees in depth, breadth and rigour.

To be considered for admission at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, students shall meet the following academic criteria:

  • EUI CGPA of 3.0 or above for the course the student studies during the first two years (exclusive of the University of Minnesota Twin Cities blended courses)
  • The student has to apply to join the agreement (to attend the last year at the University of Minnesota), subject to acceptance by the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Suppose the student spends the last year at the University of Minnesota. In that case, the University of Minnesota Twin Cities will determine fees for that year.

Purdue University

Professional Master's in Information Security (PMIS) with Purdue University, West Lafayette (PWL) (ranked #7 in Cyber Security in U.S. News in 2023(.

Faculty of Engineering

Purdue University

Dual degrees agreement in Electrical and Computer Engineering with Purdue West Lafayette University ( ranked#4 in Electrical and Computer Engineering, U.S. News, 2023)

The agreement is a dual-degree model utilizing credit transfer. Successful candidates meeting the conditions will obtain a EUI and PWL degree. The agreement works as follows:

  • EUI students study their first four (as Engineering is five years) years at EUI
  • EUI students will study four courses online ("PWL Blended/Online Courses") taught by PWL faculty with EUI Faculty support. Blended course fees are not included in the fees of EUI and will be determined by Purdue University.
  • Successful students meeting PWL requirements will study their senior year at the PWL campus as international students. Suppose the student spends the last year at Purdue University. In that case, fees for that year will be that of Purdue University and according to the fees determined by the university.
  • EUI will establish its degrees to closely align with the Partner degrees regarding depth, breadth and rigour.

To be considered for admission at PWL, students shall meet the following academic criteria:

  • EUI CGPA of 3.0 or above (exclusive of PWL Blended Courses)
  • GPA of 3.0 or above in all PWL Blended Courses

Professional Master's in Information Security (PMIS) with Purdue University, West Lafayette (PWL): PWL is ranked #7 in Cyber Security in U.S. News in 2023.

This agreement is eligible for EUI Computing and Information Sciences and Computer Engineering students meeting PWL admission/acceptance requirements. Successful candidates will obtain a EUI bachelor's degree and PWL Professional Master's degree in Cyber Security. The agreement works as follows:

  • Students must satisfactorily complete 10 Purdue Information Security Courses.
  • Students interested in the Master's degree must take 4 Blended Courses taught by Purdue while at EUI. These courses get counted towards the Bachelor's degree from EUI (and later the Master's degree from PWL). They will then take 6 Master's level courses at Purdue Campus upon obtaining Bachelor's from EUI. Blended course fees are not included in the fees of EUI and will be determined by Purdue University.

To be considered for admission into the Bachelor/Master's program under this Agreement, EUI students shall meet the following academic criteria:

  • EUI CGPA of 3.0 or above for the courses taken at EUI prior to applying to the dual BS/MS- program
