Egypt University of informatics (EUI) congratulated Mohammed Al-Gendi, a first-year student at the
Faculty of Business Informatics and the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Champion, for his silver medal
at the Modern Pentathlon Senior World Championship, which Egypt hosted from 24 to 31 July in
Alexandria, with the participation of 43 countries.
Al Gendi’s silver medal followed his 1,512 points and superiority over globally ranked competitors,
making him an honorable model for the student and university communities. The University wishes
him continued success, winning tournaments and achieving an outstanding rank at the Olympics,
which will be held in 2024 in Paris.
Egypt University of Informatics provides all kinds of support to student-athletes enrolled in local and
international tournaments, as well as the approval of the University’s Board of Trustees to give
outstanding athletic students scholarships in recognition of their excellence and raising the name of
Egypt in international forums, thanks to the full and continuous support provided by the Ministry of
Communications and Information Technology, founder of the University.
