EUI starts the first training program within the agenda of the presidential initiative "Egypt Makes Electronics."

 

Egypt University of Informatics announced its participation in the presidential initiative "Egypt Makes Electronics,” administered by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, for three months at the university's campus in the Knowledge City at the New Administrative Capital. The initiative aims to redouble the efforts and work to keep pace with the future and increase the number of graduates specializing in the electronics industry, contribute to the diversification of the economy, and build a solid technological and industrial sector by providing integrated opportunities that support Egypt's competitive advantages.

Egypt University of Informatics announced on its website eui.edu.eg/en  opening the registration for the free training course in "Automotive Embedded SW Development,” which is fully funded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology for all young graduates from all Egyptian universities from 2019 to 2023 from the Faculties of Engineering (Communications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics), Computing and Information Sciences and the Faculty of Science, with a specialization in Computer Science.

Egypt University of Informatics welcomes trainees participating in the initiative over three months (five days per week - seven hours per day) at its campus in the Knowledge City at the New Administrative Capital, which is currently the center of excellence for the electronics industry, with the presence of some of the participating companies. The initiative allows graduates to qualify for an outstanding job in the design of integrated automotive systems, especially since this field is one of the most desired areas in the global and local markets.

The presidential initiative "Egypt Makes Electronics" involves the active and essential participation of major companies that seek to recruit distinguished cadres in this field at all stages of the initiative, from the stage of selection of trainees before the start of training and then the participation of specialists from companies in training at the stages of the training program. This is in addition to starting screening tests for recruitment immediately after completing the training program and even appointing distinguished graduates with competitive salaries.

Concerning the transportation for trainees, EUI provides transportation for its campus from the neighborhoods of Cairo and Giza throughout the training period beginning on August 4, 2023.

Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics, said: "The University will strive in all its possibilities to refine the skills of participants in the Presidential Initiative “Egypt Makes Electronics” which lasts for three months from 4th August at the University's campus, which has attractive and competitive technological and economic advantages and features easy training and doing business for investors and companies information and communications technology infrastructure, strategic location and advanced technological capabilities ".

Prof. Bahgat explained that the university focuses on implementing Egypt's 2030 Sustainable Development Strategy and Vision by redoubling efforts and keeping pace with the future, contributing to the diversification of the economy, and building a robust technology sector capable of benefiting from the competitive advantages of the Egyptian state, reflecting its increased contribution to the domestic product and diversification of the economy to achieve the sustainable development agenda. The initiative was working to support and empower innovation and entrepreneurship and providing tailored incentives for trainees.

Prof. Iman Ashour, Director of the "Egypt Makes Electronics" at Egypt University of Informatics, explained that the technology and communications industry has excellent potential for growth and prosperity as a diversified and sustainable economy; thus, the Government, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, will develop students and young people's skills and develop technological talents to meet the growing demand for specialized jobs in the knowledge economy and the techniques of the fourth industrial revolution and to localize its principles.

Egypt University of Informatics is one of the first specialized universities in the Middle East and Africa in Communications, Information Technology, and their affected areas. It was founded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to become a leading academic institution offering specialized educational programs to meet the need of the labor market with highly experienced ICT professionals.

Egypt University of Informatics has four faculties (Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, Digital Arts and Design). It offers 16 specialized educational programs to meet the labor market’s needs from specialists in the latest fields of ICT, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Animation Arts, User Experience, and Game Design.
