EUI Joins CYSEC Egypt Summit, honoring Prof. Fatty Mostafa
Egypti University for Informatics (EUI) took part in CYSEC Egypt Summit 2026 as a Knowledge Partner, bringing academic expertise to the national conversation on securing Egypt's digital transformation. The summit was held at The St. Regis New Capital, Cairo.
As Egypt expands its digital services, infrastructure and online economy, cybersecurity has become central to the country's progress. By taking part as a Knowledge Partner, EUI contributed the university's academic perspective to discussions that brought together experts, decision-makers and professionals from across the sector. The role reflects the university's commitment to linking education, research and industry, and to preparing graduates who can protect the systems a digital society depends on.
One moment made the summit especially meaningful for the EUI community. Prof. Fatty Mostafa Ahmed, Professor of Information and Network Security at EUI's Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences, was recognized as a SheLeads Honoree. The recognition celebrates women leaders making a difference in their fields, and seeing her honored on stage was a proud moment for colleagues, students and the whole EUI family.
Her recognition also reflects the strength of EUI's academic team in one of the most important fields in technology today. As the university continues to grow its programs in computing and information sciences, it remains focused on building expertise that serves Egypt's digital future.
