Assistant Lecturer / Teaching Assistant

The Faculty of Business Informatics is looking to fill several Full-time Assistant Lecturer/Teaching Assistant vacancies to teach in the following domains:

  • Business Technology Management (IT governance, strategic IT management, enterprise architecture, business processes, systems analysis, databases, and information security). Strong practical skills in Bizagi, ArchiMate, and Odoo are required, along with awareness of key frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, COBIT, and related ISO standards)

  • Business Analytics (Timeseries Forecasting—Business Simulation—Operations Research) 

  • Marketing/Digital Marketing (Traceable research activity in Marketing strategy, digital marketing, brand management, content marketing, and marketing analytics is a plus)

  • Finance (A strong knowledge of financial management, financial modeling, investment analysis, and portfolio management is preferred)

  • Faculty Required Courses (Business Law - Business Ethics)

All applicants should be willing to deliver general business courses (Entrepreneurship, Business Communication, management).

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented  Assistant Lecturer / Teaching Assistant to support undergraduate-level instruction. The successful candidate will work closely with faculty members to enhance the learning experience and ensure the smooth delivery of course content. 
 

Job Description:
  • Assist in the preparation of lectures, course materials, and classroom activities.

  • Lead tutorials and laboratory sessions, ensuring clarity and student engagement.

  • Grade assignments, quizzes, and other coursework in a fair and timely manner.

  • Support the coordination and logistical management of the course.

  • Hold regular office hours to provide academic assistance and guidance to students.

  • Address student inquiries and facilitate their understanding of course material.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, events, and initiatives as required.

  • Assist faculty with ongoing research activities and administrative responsibilities.

 

Qualifications
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant specialization (a master’s degree is preferred).

  • Graduated from one of the following faculties: Business, Computer Science, Economics and Political Science.

  • Demonstrated academic excellence with strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Prior experience in academic support, teaching assistance, or research roles is an advantage.

  • Proficiency in English with a strong command of both written and spoken language.

Teaching Assistants (TAs):
  • Candidates must have graduated within the past three years.

  • A minimum overall grade of “Very Good” is a must.

Assistant Lecturers (ALs):
  • Candidates must have obtained their master’s degree within the last three years.
