Assistant Lecturers / Teaching Assistants

The Faculty of Engineering at EUI seeks applicants for a Full-Time position of Teaching Assistants/Assistant Lecturers starting Fall 2026 in Engineering Physics with strong academic backgrounds and excellent teaching and communication skills.

Job Requirements:

 

  • Conduct physics tutorials, problem-solving sessions, and laboratory sessions.

  • Support students in understanding fundamental physics concepts and their engineering applications. 

  • Assist in preparing and grading assignments, quizzes, laboratory reports, and examinations. - Maintain students' attendance and academic records. 

  • Provide academic support during office hours. 

  • Support the use of LMS, online educational platforms, and modern teaching technologies.

  • Collaborate with faculty members and other TAs in course delivery and development. 

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in physics, Engineering, Engineering Physics, or a related field from a recognized university.

  • M.Sc. degree or current enrollment in a relevant postgraduate program is preferred.

  • Minimum of 2–3 years of university-level teaching experience, preferably at a top-tier Egyptian university.

  • Previous experience teaching engineering students is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of university-level Physics, particularly Mechanics, Electricity & Magnetism, Waves, and Thermodynamics.

  • Experience with Physics laboratory instruction and calculus-based Physics is preferred.

  • Good command of written and spoken English.

  • Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good computer skills and familiarity with LMS platforms, simulations, and digital teaching and assessment tools.

  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with faculty members, teaching assistants, laboratory staff, and course coordinators.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Practical or industrial experience in a relevant field is an asset.

  • Enthusiasm and interest in pursuing research and/or graduate studies.
