Microsoft Invests in EUIans through Global Dual-Degree Programs
Microsoft Backs EUI Students and Alumni Through Dual-Degree Year-Abroad Programs
"Spanning both graduating alumni and currently enrolled students from the Faculties of Engineering, Computing and Information Sciences, Business Informatics, and Digital Arts and Design, Microsoft’s sponsorship has supported two successive cohorts in pursuing year-abroad placements at leading North American universities."
Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) is proud to announce that Microsoft, its long-standing strategic technology partner, has covered the travel and program expenses of EUI students and alumni who participated in the university’s dual-degree year-abroad program. The sponsorship has extended across two cohorts, encompassing both students who have since graduated and those currently continuing their studies — a testament to Microsoft’s enduring investment in the EUI community at every stage of its members’ academic journeys.
The dual-degree program, including the new agreements with ISART Digital (ranked 2nd among video game schools worldwide) and CESI École d'Ingénieurs (ranked 2nd for diverse admissions) in France, available to students enrolled in the Faculties of Engineering, Computing and Information Sciences, Business Informatics, and Digital Arts and Design, provides participants with the opportunity to pursue a portion of their academic education at internationally accredited partner institutions in the United States, Canada and France. Whether they have already graduated and joined the workforce as proud EUI alumni or are still continuing their studies, all participants have equally benefited from Microsoft’s generous support. This support enabled them to join their host institutions with financial stability, allowing them to fully focus on their academic progress and personal development..
The first cohort saw 29 participants placed across three distinguished North American universities. Twenty-one were placed at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana—a globally renowned institution in engineering and technology, ranked as No. 4 overall among graduate engineering schools based on US News ranking 2026—while seven travelled to the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, a leading research university with strong programs in computing, ranked as No. 34 overall among graduate engineering schools based on US News ranking 2026. One participant was placed at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa in Canada, a respected center for business informatics and management education, and one of the top 1% of business schools worldwide holding the prestigious “triple crown” accreditation (AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA)..
The second cohort carried this momentum forward, with 20 participants placed at Purdue University West Lafayette, four at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and five at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa. Across both cohorts, the placements span a broad and accomplished community — alumni who have already entered professional life carrying globally recognized dual credentials, and current students who are today gaining the international experience that will define their careers tomorrow.
Microsoft’s commitment to sponsoring participants across both cohorts reflects a partnership philosophy that goes far beyond the provision of technology. By investing directly in the mobility and academic advancement of EUI’s students and graduates alike, Microsoft has reaffirmed its role as a true strategic partner, whose belief in Egyptian talent is demonstrated not through words alone, but through meaningful and sustained action.
EUI regards the dual-degree program as a cornerstone of its internationalization strategy, and the growing community of alumni it has produced — now active across the technology sector — stands as the clearest measure of its success. With Microsoft’s continued partnership, the university looks forward to expanding these opportunities further, ensuring that future cohorts of both students and graduates can benefit from the same transformative international experience that has already shaped the careers of so many.
