Assistant/Associate Professors in the Faculty of Business Informatics - Egypt University of Informatics
Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), located at the New Administrative Capital (NAC), is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following vacancies for the Faculty of Business Informatics, starting in the academic year 2023/2024.
Position Description:
The Faculty of Business Informatics at EUI seeks applicants for a full-time/part-time Assistant/Associate Professor position specializing in Business Technology Management (BTM) and Business Analytics (BA).
The faculty invites interested applicants to engage in an interactive teaching and research environment. Candidates are expected to discuss various scientific concepts, applications, and problems in their lectures and be able to challenge and motivate students. They are expected to supervise students, work on collaborative research topics, and publish papers in highly-ranked journals.
Job Requirements:
- Teach lectures in their specialization using the English language.
- Employ innovative approaches to teaching and support for students using various learning resources and teaching practices.
- Interact with the students during face-to-face and online office hours using discussion groups and other tools on the LMS.
- Develop core curriculum and deliver course material effectively.
- Perform any other administrative duties as assigned by the upper management.
- Submit a yearly progress report with their achievements for evaluation.
- Conduct high-quality research.
- Publish research papers in indexed (in Scopus) and ranked journals and conferences.
- Being involved in research projects.
- Write proposals to secure research funding.
Qualifications:
- The candidate should be a Ph.D. holder with at least one year of experience in a relevant subject, and the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities must recognize the degree.
- Evidence of recent teaching experience at a higher education institution - Practical and teaching experience (Industrial experience is an asset)
- Candidates must have finished their Ph.D. in or after 2012.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English is a must.
- Enthusiastic and interested in pursuing research.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Good management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
BTM Program requirement:
- Extensive knowledge of Data Management, Analysis and Design of Business Processes, Database Modeling and Design, Decision Support Systems, Information Security, Information Technology Management, and Business Intelligence.
BA Program requirement:
- Extensive knowledge of Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning, Applied Analytics, Business Simulation, Business Process Improvements and Analytics, Data Visualization and Storytelling, and Operations Research.
