Senior Network Engineer
Job Summary:
The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and supporting the campus and data center network infrastructure. As a key member of the IT Infrastructure team, the role focuses on delivering scalable, secure, and highly available network services that meet business objectives and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and optimize functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) for campus and data center environments.
Perform proactive network maintenance, upgrades, and patching to ensure stability and compliance with standards.
Monitor network and system performance, ensuring high availability, reliability, and alignment with current and future capacity demands.
Analyze system resource utilization and trends, and contribute to capacity planning activities.
Provide second- and third-line support, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for network incidents and problems.
Work within established configuration and change management processes to ensure proper assessment, approval, and documentation of changes.
Collaborate with the information security team to select, implement, and maintain network security tools, policies, and procedures.
Maintain healthy, redundant internet connectivity and external links.
Lead and participate in network projects across campus and the data center, including routers, switches, wireless controllers, and access points.
Administer, configure, and maintain Cisco DNA Center and ACI fabrics.
Administer and support Cisco Unified Communications Manager and the IP telephony environment.
Maintain and administer security integrations (e.g., Cisco ISE, Stealthwatch) and ensure consistent policy enforcement.
Provide professional-level technical support for Cisco products, platforms, and solutions.
Prepare and maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories, including configurations and metadata.
Contribute to annual budgeting (CAPEX and OPEX) for network and IT support services, including lifecycle management, upgrades, and expansions.
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
From 5-7 years of experience.
ITIL-oriented mindset; ITIL certification is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365 / Office applications.
Excellent command of written and spoken English.
Strong technical analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured, methodical approach to problem solving.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Excellent customer service orientation and communication skills.
Very good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
High levels of drive, energy, ownership, and enthusiasm.
CCNP Routing & Switching (or Enterprise) certification is mandatory.
Expert knowledge of Cisco networking platforms, wireless controllers, and access points.
Knowledge of Cisco LAN core/access architectures, Cisco ISE, ACI, and SD-Access is a plus.
Deep understanding of communication protocols, primarily TCP/IP, and related routing and switching technologies.
Proven ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including routers, switches, wireless access points, and controllers.
Ability to create accurate network diagrams and design/implementation documentation for network communication systems.
Hands-on experience with network monitoring, diagnostic, and analytics tools.
Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (Call Manager) is a plus.
