Faculty Member- Engineering
The Faculty of Engineering is seeking applicants for a full-time position as a faculty member specializing in Mechatronics Engineering, starting in the spring of 2025. The faculty invites candidates to engage in an interactive teaching environment. Candidates are expected to present various scientific concepts, applications, and problems during lectures and be able to challenge and motivate students. Additionally, they are expected to supervise students, work independently and collaboratively on research topics, and publish research papers in highly ranked journals.
Job Requirements:
- Teach lectures in their area of specialization, primarily using the English language.
- Employ innovative teaching approaches and provide support for students through a variety of learning resources and teaching practices.
- Interact with students during office hours, both face-to-face and online, using discussion groups and other tools on the LMS.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned by upper management.
- Submit a yearly progress report summarizing achievements for evaluation.
- Conduct high-quality research.
- Participate in research projects.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in Mechatronics Engineering
- Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.
- Practical and teaching experience (industrial experience is an asset).
- Enthusiastic and interested in pursuing research.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Teamwork spirit.
- Strong management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer skills is a plus.
