Animation Arts Students Visit Aisha Fahmy Palace Arts Complex

In conjunction with Egypt's celebrations marking the anniversary of the glorious October victories, the Animation Arts program at the Faculty of Arts and Digital Design organized a field visit for its students to the Arts Complex at Aisha Fahmy Palace, aiming to connect academic study with Egypt's national history and artistic heritage.

During the visit, the students met with Dr. Ali, Head of Museums and the official in charge of them, who accompanied them on a guided tour through the exhibition halls and presented artworks that documented the stages of political transformation and the historical events that shaped modern Egypt.

The tour covered key milestones in Egyptian history, beginning with the era of Muhammad Ali and continuing through the presidency of Gamal Abdel Nasser, including pivotal events such as the nationalization and securing of the Suez Canal, and extending to the present day. It also highlighted the victories and achievements of the Egyptian army and the policies adopted by the state throughout these periods.

An open discussion followed between the students and Dr. Ali on Egypt's political history during this era, the significance of the October victories, their role in restoring land and national dignity, and their impact on Egyptian and Arab consciousness.

The visit gave students a valuable opportunity to view firsthand artistic and journalistic works that captured this important period, and to see how artists and journalists documented moments of victory and embodied the spirit of patriotism in their work. This enriches their creative experience and strengthens their sense of national belonging, particularly as they study animation, a powerful medium for telling national stories to new generations.

The students expressed their delight with the visit, affirming that it added an important intellectual and artistic dimension to their studies and inspired them to use their skills to produce works that carry the values of belonging and recount the heroic deeds of the Egyptian army.
