Why this Hackathon..... Why now?
Egypt's National AI Strategy 2025–2030 and the GAINAfrica Horizon Europe project are converging on one goal: put Generative AI to work in education. This hackathon is EIC's first flagship event, and a direct contribution to GAINAfrica's Use Case 4 on Digital Skills and Learning.

Student Track
- Who: Undergrad & grad students from any accredited Egyptian university
- Team size: 3–5 members (cross-university teams welcome)
- Challenge: Build a new GenAI-powered education prototype from scratch
- Deliverable: Working prototype + pitch deck
Startup Track
- Who: Open to registered startups
- Team size: 2–4 members
- Challenge: Integrate GenAI into an existing product, or build a new GenAI feature
- Deliverable: Demonstrable integration + business case + pitch

- AI Tutor — Personalized, multilingual tutoring systems for STEM, ICT, and entrepreneurship courses.
- Assessment Revolution — Adaptive assessment and feedback tools that go beyond multiple-choice.
- Content Creator — Localized, culturally relevant educational content in Arabic and other African languages.
- Accessibility & Inclusion — GenAI solutions for students with disabilities or in low-connectivity environments.
- Open Challenge — Any GenAI application in education not covered above.
