Position Overview

We are seeking highly qualified and motivated candidates who are committed to contributing to a student-centered, innovation-driven academic environment. Successful candidates will support cybersecurity courses through tutorials, laboratory sessions, and hands-on activities, actively engaging students in problem-solving and applied learning.

Responsibilities include supervising and assessing assignments, projects, and lab work; supporting both introductory and advanced cybersecurity courses; and contributing to the continuous enhancement of teaching and learning within the Faculty.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct tutorials and laboratory sessions as assigned by course instructors.

  • Utilize innovative teaching methods and diverse learning resources to enhance student understanding.

  • Provide academic support during scheduled office hours, both in person and online.

  • Deliver theoretical and practical components of designated courses.

  • Grade assignments, quizzes, and laboratory exams as needed.

  • Participate in exam duties, including proctoring and academic support.

  • Assist in developing and customizing software systems used by the University.

  • Perform additional academic or administrative tasks as required.

  • Submit an annual progress report for performance evaluation.

  • Enrollment in a doctoral program (for Assistant Lecturers) is considered an asset.

 

Qualifications

Teaching Assistants:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering (minimum grade: Very Good; Excellent with Honors preferred).
Assistant Lecturers:
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least two years of teaching experience in higher education.

 

General Requirements:

  • Strong command of spoken and written English.

  • Demonstrated teaching and practical experience; industry experience is a plus.

  • Strong interest in research and postgraduate studies.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
