Teaching Assistant/Assistant Lecturer (3D Art) in the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design

 

The Faculty of Digital Arts and Design at Egypt University of Informatics, located at the New Administrative Capital (NAC), is looking for qualified candidates to fill the following vacancy starting in the academic year 2023/2024.

 

Position Description:

The Faculty of Digital Arts and Design at EUI seeks applicants for a full-time Teaching Assistant/Assistant Lecturer position in the Level 3 Game Design program – 3D art specialization. The faculty invites candidates to engage in an interactive and collaborative teaching environment. Candidates are expected to discuss various ideas, applications, and problems and explain the concepts discussed in lectures by challenging and motivating students. They are expected to supervise and grade the various projects and assignments as part of the student’s coursework.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Conduct tutorials and labs as required by the instructor.
  • 3D skills in rendering, environment modeling, lighting, prop modeling, and texturing.
  • Must be skilled in the following software: 3D Max, Unity, Maya, Photoshop, Substance 3D Painter, Z brush, Arnold, and Unreal
  • Employ innovative approaches to teaching and support students using various learning resources and teaching practices.
  • Interact with the students during face-to-face and online office hours, using discussion groups and other tools on the LMS.
  • Teach practical and theoretical courses both in class and online.
  • Grade assignments, quizzes, and lab exams as the instructor requires.
  • Participate in academic and exam support duties, including proctoring.
  • Help in developing and customizing software systems used in the University.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the upper management. 
  • Submit an end-of-semester report with his/her achievements for evaluation.

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from the faculty of fine arts or institute of cinema or equivalent to that, and he/she must have experience in the 3D art field. (Excellent with honors/ or very good).
  • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written, is a must.
  • Enthusiastic and interested in pursuing research and graduate studies.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent computer skills in visual or fine arts.
  • Good management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Teamwork spirit.
