WEUI signs cooperation agreement with Banque Misr to provide a number of scholarships
Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) and Banque Misr (https://www.banquemisr.com/) have partnered to offer full scholarships to a number of Thanaweya Amma top achievers who apply to study at one of the university's four faculties (Engineering, Business Informatics, Computing and Information Sciences, Digital Arts and Design), which provides 16 specialized education programs to meet the labor market's demand for cutting-edge specialists in ICT, Data, and Design. This strengthens EUI's dedication and ongoing efforts to carry out President Abdelfattah El-Sisi's initiative to award a number of full scholarships to Thanaweya Amma's top achievers to ensure the growth of the superior students' scientific capabilities and to provide them with the necessary skills.
Egypt University of Informatics and Banque Misr agreement aims to provide full scholarships, covering all costs for the completion of the academic years of study, as well as to train university students in the bank within the strategy of empowering the top and superior young students, to maximize benefits from their abilities after graduation and reallocate them in crucial jobs in alignment with Egypt's 2030 Vision for Sustainable Development.
This agreement was signed between the two sides by Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics, Mr. Mohamed El-Etreby, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Banque Misr, in the presence of Mr. Akef El-Maghraby, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank, Dr. Fatma Al Gouli, Head of the Corporate Communications sector, Mr. Hany Al-Samra, Head of the Human Resources sector and plenty of officials from the bank and the university.
The significance of this agreement between Banque Misr, one of Egypt's most prestigious banks, and EUI, a leading academic institution, lies in the joint efforts of both parties to support scientific excellence and the education sector, as well as to contribute to the graduation of a generation of highly qualified students in line with the demands of the Egyptian labor market.
Egypt University of Informatics is one of the first specialized universities in the Middle East and Africa in Communications, Information Technology, and their affected areas. It was founded by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to become a leading academic institution offering specialized educational programs to meet the need of the labor market with highly experienced ICT professionals.
Egypt University of Informatics has four faculties (Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, Digital Arts and Design).
