EUI and E-JUST sign an MoU to enhance cooperation in Science and technology
Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) signed a memorandum of understanding
and cooperation with Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology
(EJUST) to promote scientific and research cooperation in the fields of
science, technology, and innovation, training students and exchange of
educational visits between researchers to foster scientific exchanges and
training, as well as organizing scientific conferences and academic events
between the two parties, under the auspices of H.E.Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of
Communications and Information Technology.
The memorandum of understanding and cooperation has been signed by
Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics, and Prof.
Amr Adly, President of Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology.
The two sides also exchanged the shields of the two universities in honor of
each, in the presence of Prof. Samaa Taher, Dean of the Faculty of Business
Informatics, Prof. Amr El-Masry, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof.
Hoda Mokhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences,
Prof. Ashraf Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Digital Arts and Design, as well as
Dr. Mohamed Ismail, Professor of Physics and Prof.. Amr El-Sherif, Head of
Electronics and Communication Engineering Department at EUI.
The signing ceremony was witnessed from EJUST by Prof. Sameh Nada,
Vice-President of the University for Education and Academic Affairs, Prof.
Adel Abdulaziz Al-Sen, Director of the Center of Free Arts and Culture, Prof.
Ahmed Mokhtar Mohammad, Dean of the Institute of Basic and Applied
Sciences, Prof. Adel Bedeir Abdelrahman, Dean of the Faculty of
Communication and Electronics Engineering and Computing and Prof. Ahmed
Yehia Ebeid, Dean of the Faculty of International Business and Humanities.
Prof. Reem Bahgat, President of Egypt University of Informatics, emphasized
that this step is the beginning of cooperation and scientific research between
the two universities, as the future of the cooperation model between EUI and
EJUST enlightens the sector of science and innovation and promotes a
comprehensive strategic partnership between both sides.
Prof. Reem Bahgat explained that this scientific cooperation would contribute
to opening broad prospects for the advancement of scientific and
technological knowledge due to the complementarity of resources in both
institutions, allowing for joint scientific contributions between the two sides, as
well as devoting to the promotion of research activities and innovation in
critical areas, including data science, communications, and artificial
intelligence.
Prof. Amr Adly, President of the Egypt-Japan University of Science and
Technology, said: "We are pleased to cooperate with the Egypt University of
Informatics, one of the distinguished universities that started properly. Thanks
to the vision of H.E.Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and
Information Technology, this cooperation will make Egypt University of
Informatics an essential partner for us. Both sides have advanced and
sophisticated capabilities, ensuring significant contributions to achieving
sustainable development based on innovation. Under the umbrella of this
agreement, the two universities will work through joint ventures, training and
internships, and supporting academic exchange to advance scientific,
research, and technological cooperation. "
Prof. Adly added: "We have had support since the first day of the
establishment of the EJUST from the Ministry of International Cooperation and
the State of Japan, where our university began as a university of postgraduate
studies, followed by scientific research based on partnership with the
Japanese side, which made us possess scientific cadres with a global
ranking." What Egypt University of Informatics does to qualify its students as
international graduates is very important.
Egypt University of Informatics is the first specialized university in the Middle
East and Africa in Communications, Information Technology, and their
affected areas. It was founded by the Ministry of Communications and
Information Technology in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education
and Scientific Research to become a leading academic institution offering
specialized educational programs to meet the need of the labor market with
highly expertise ICT professionals.
Egypt University of Informatics has four faculties (Computing and Information
Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, Digital Arts, and Design), and
offers 16 specialized educational programs to meet the labor market’s need
from specialists in the latest fields of ICT, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data
Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering,
Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Animation Arts, User Experience and
Game Design.
