EUI signs a protocol of cooperation with TransIT to train students
Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) and the Transport Information Technology Company (TransIT), under the umbrella of the Ministry of Transportation, signed a joint cooperation protocol aimed at strengthening research and applied cooperation between both sides, training and qualifying students for the labor market and recruiting the highest GPA achievers from the faculties of Engineering, and Computing & Information Sciences by this company, which is responsible for most of the Ministry of Transportation’s information technology projects.
The signage was witnessed by H.E. Lieutenant General Kamel Al-Wazir, Minister of Transportation, and signed by Prof. Reem Bahgat, EUI’s President and Eng. Khaled Mohamed Attia, Chairman and Managing Director of Transport Information Technology Company, in the presence of Prof. Ahmed Hassan, EUI’s Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Amr Al-Masry, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Hoda Mokhtar, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences, a high-level delegation from both sides, along with several Arab States' ministers and ambassadors participating in the fifth session of the exhibition and the International Conference on Smart Transport, Infrastructure, and Logistics for the Middle East and Africa.
Prof. Bahgat praised the Transport Information Technology Company's extraordinary efforts to develop this vital sector. This cooperation protocol will enable EUI students to increase the frequency of their practical experiences in the transport technology sector. It also opens the way for joint cooperation in applied projects that can benefit from EUI’s faculty members' scientific expertise, which reflects the academic trust in their added value.
She also added: "Egypt University of Informatics is keen through a strategy designed to keep abreast of the latest scientific standards and systems globally to facilitate the lifelong learning process for our students and provide flexible and pioneering academic experiences based on state-of-the-art technology to meet diverse educational needs, with the support of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, ensuring a modern and comprehensive academic experience for them, under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. We are quite confident that our students can create smart solutions and advanced ideas in the transport technology sector that contribute to users' service. "
EUI’s President also explained that this is a normal consequence of an innovative educational environment based on scientific research and the use of advanced technological tools, as well as applied training that students will receive from specialists and experts from the Transport Information Technology Company, which ensures that they have practical experience in dealing with crises and finding solutions to them. This partnership is a unique opportunity to intensify work together to make a future that lives up to the country's new ambitions.
For his part, Eng. Khaled Mohamed Attia, Chairman and Managing Director of the Transport Information Technology Company, said: "The signing of this agreement with Egypt University of Informatics aligns with the rapid development in Egypt's transport sectors over the past ten years. Under this collaboration, the company will provide the best successful experiences, the latest smart and sustainable solutions, and the most critical developments in this vital sector through collaboration with a constellation of scientists in these scientific disciplines and practical training for university students for essential applications”.

Egypt University of Informatics has four faculties (Computing and Information Sciences, Engineering, Business Informatics, Digital Arts and Design). It offers 16 specialized educational programs to meet the labor market's needs from specialists in the latest fields of ICT, such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Mechatronics, Business Analytics, Digital Marketing, Animation Arts, User Experience, and Game Design.
