In an atmosphere of excitement, Egypt University of Informatics greeted IBM’s Team at its Campus at Knowledge City in the New Capital on Sunday the 20th of March 2022.
EUI welcomed IBM’s General Manager Ms. Marwa Abbas, the Government & Regulatory Affairs Manager in IBM Middle East & Africa Ms. Dina Galal, IBM MEA Skills Initiative Regional Leader in Africa Ms. Oriette Nayel, and the Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Mr. Ali Abdo Ali.
Upon their arrival to the EUI Campus in the New Capital City, EUI’s guests took a tour around the EUI newly established campus where the IBM teams expressed their pride and appreciation for EUI’s first building.
The meeting was attended by EUI President Prof. Reem Bahgat, EUI Vice President Prof. Mohamed El Sharkawi, the Dean of Engineering Prof. Amr Elmasry, Dean Computing and Information Sciences Prof. Hoda Mokhtar and the Dean of Business Informatics, Prof. Samaa Attia. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Amal Elgammal Acting Head of Software Engineering Department and Head of International Relations as well as Dr. Amani Eissa, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences and a founding member at EUI.
EUI and IBM Egypt discussed the potential collaboration between both entities in the near future through providing tools for training and internships for the EUI students.
