I.  About the Program / Why this Program?

In today’s competitive job market, graduates face significant challenges in securing suitable employment. To tackle these issues, Lancaster University UK, in collaboration with Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) and funded by the British Council, has developed the “iSkills: Career Catalyst Program”. This initiative aims to equip graduates with essential skills and practical experience in data analytics and sustainability.

By enrolling in our program, graduates not only receive a robust education but also gain access to a pathway towards successful and fulfilling careers. They will be equipped with the necessary skills, experiences, and networks to thrive in today’s dynamic job market.

 

II.  Program Description

The program begins with foundational training in self-awareness and essential job preparation skills, including CV writing, crafting effective cover letters, and mastering business email etiquette. It progresses to advanced training in data analysis using tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Python, covering everything from basic data handling to advanced visualization techniques.

Simultaneously, the curriculum emphasizes crucial soft skills like interpersonal communication, leadership, teamwork, and sustainability practices. This comprehensive approach prepares graduates not only to handle real-world data challenges efficiently but also to integrate sustainable practices into their professional endeavors. The training culminates in a capstone project where graduates apply their skills to solve practical workplace challenges, demonstrating their readiness for professional success.

III.  Program Structure

Are you ready to enhance your career in data analytics and sustainability? Our intensive 8-week program is designed to equip you with essential skills for future-proof employability.

Duration: 8 weeks, from August 18th, 2024, to October 9th, 2024.

Sessions: Held four days a week at the EUI campus Location

Cost: Free of charge (funded by the British Council).

Transportation: Complimentary EUI transportation to and from Campus is available.

  • Data Analytics: Dive deep into data analysis techniques and tools, preparing you for analytical roles in diverse
  • Soft Skills: Develop crucial interpersonal skills and enhance your communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
  • Sustainability: Learn to apply green principles and sustainable practices and explore sustainability practices crucial for modern

 

IV.  Program Outline                                                  

  • 8 Weeks duration
  • 4 Days per week ( 3 Days for Data Analytics + 1 Day for Soft Skills / Sustainability
  • 6 hours / Day ( 5 Teaching Hours + 1 Hour break)

V.  How to Register

Who is Eligible for the Program?

The program is designed for graduate students who completed their degrees in 2023 or later, achieving at least a "Good" grade, with an emphasis on graduates from business schools throughout Egypt. Final-year students are also welcome to apply.

Registration Deadline: August 10th, 2024.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview and an English placement test on July 11th and 12th, and 13th 2024 on EUI Campus.

VI.  General Conditions and Rules

  1. All required documents must be uploaded on the application
  2. Applicants MUST meet basic training program
  3. Attendance is mandatory (6 hours per day, 4 days per week, for 8 weeks).
  4. The required attendance rate shall not be less than (90%).

Are there any fees or scholarships available?

The program is free, with complimentary transportation to the EUI campus. Limited accommodation is available for underrepresented students and those demonstrating financial need or exceptional academic excellence.

Who is eligible?

Recent university graduates from 2023 and onwards, as well as final-year students, are eligible to join the program.

What are the goals of the program?
