Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), located in the New Administrative Capital is looking to
fill multiple ESL/EFL Instructor vacancies in the English Language Department for the new
Academic Year 2022-2023.
Role Purpose:
- Take responsibility for developing and delivering teaching, learning and assessing English for
academic purposes across EUI's disciplines, including Digital Arts and Design, Business
Informatics, Computing and Information Sciences & Engineering. - provide learners with a rewarding and stimulating English language learning experience.
- Demonstrate good practice in teaching, supporting learning, and assessment, using a wide
range of resources and appropriate pedagogic practice. - Ensure that teaching aligns with current research in the relevant field and develops the ability
of students to engage in debate, critical discourse, and rational thinking through various
activities. - Reflect critically on teaching practice, implement improvements, and engage actively with the
quality monitoring and enhancement processes. - Work effectively as a team member within the English Language Department and EUI
Community. - Undertake professional development whenever prompted.
Accountabilities - Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality English language teaching that meets the needs of
EUI’s different faculties and studies, considering the individual student needs. - Monitor progress and regularly provide feedback to help manage students’ performance
throughout the course, while actively promoting learner autonomy. - Contribute to developing, evaluating, and improving English language courses, materials
and related services to meet students’ needs by actively working as a member of the
English Language Department teaching team. - Complete teaching-related administrative tasks to specified standards.
- Actively engage in professional development and performance management to ensure
quality and high standards in teaching.
Qualifications
Essentials
- Recognized certificate in ELT; i.e. CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL (or equivalent)
- Undergraduate university degree in a relevant field.
English Language Department
- Two years of full-time post-certificate (i.e. CELTA/Trinity Cert
TESOL or equivalent) experience in teaching young adults and adults;
however, we will still consider applications from candidates who do not meet the two
years post-certificate requirement.
Desirables
- Recognized Diploma in ELT; i.e. DELTA or Trinity DipTESOL (or equivalent)
- MA in ELT/TESOL or other relevant subjects.
