Biography
Ashraf Mahdy is an Egyptian artist.
He holds a Ph.D. in Graphic and currently works as an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Fine Art at Zamalek, He also teaches at the Faculty of Art & Design at Pharos University in Alexandria.
He participated in a lot of collective Art Exhibitions (Salon of Youth, National Egyptian Triennale for Graphic, Biennale of the Mediterranean, Sarsal International Biennale for Graphic, French Art Nimes Exhibition, and many other local exhibitions).
His works are part of a private collection of owners in Egypt, Kuwait, Sarajevo, Finland & Saudi Arabia.
He is also an Animator, Puppeteer, Actor, D.O.P & Director.
Education
Ph.D. in Fine Arts (Titled “The Theatrical Text as a Catalyst for a Graphic Experiment”), 2009.
M.A in Fine Arts (Titled “The role of the Art of Graphic in Documenting Theatrical Arts in the 18th and 19th centuries”), 2004 -B.A in Graphic Design (Faculty of Fine Arts, Helwan University).
