The IT Department at Egypt University of Informatics (EUI), located at the New Administrative Capital (NAC), is looking for qualified candidates to fill the vacancy below starting the spring semester of the academic year 2023/2024.

 

Position Description:

 

 EUI's IT department is actively recruiting for a full-time role as a Cyber Security Engineer. The ideal candidate will be tasked with crafting, executing, and upholding security measures across campus endpoints and infrastructure within the information systems. As a pivotal member of the IT team, the successful applicant will oversee network security, promptly addressing breaches, and conducting thorough investigations when necessary. This role involves deploying and managing various software tools like firewalls and encryption programs to safeguard sensitive data, as well as conducting regular assessments to identify and rectify potential vulnerabilities in computer and network systems.

 

 

Job Requirements:

  • Design and deploy comprehensive IT security controls across all campus systems and networks.
  • Ensure alignment of EUI business requirements with university security policies.
  • Apply, update, and enhance security policies as necessary.
  • Implement and configure CISCO ISE, overseeing all related operations.
  • Collaborate with systems administrators and other IT team members to ensure smooth and secure operations and project success.
  • Deploy Cisco Secure Access, Secure Mobility, Cisco Edge Network Security, and Cisco Threat Control solutions.
  • Install, upgrade, manage, and administrate Forcepoint and Firepower firewalls.
  • Implement and administrate the university's Web Application Firewall (WAF).
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments as needed.
  • Manage security endpoint implementation and administration.
  • Plan, develop, deploy, maintain, and manage information system security boundaries and countermeasures.
  • Analyze and recommend security controls and best practices for operations.
  • Evaluate corporate processes involving information systems and assets, advise on security controls and procedures, and ensure compliance.
  • Develop monitoring and visibility capabilities, report on events, vulnerabilities, and trends, and respond to security incidents as necessary.
  • Manage authentication and access controls, including user and system account management, security/access roles, and access privileges to information assets.
  • Analyze trends, news, and changes in the threat and compliance environment, advise organization management, and develop plans for compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and administer information security governance, including organizational policies, procedures, standards, baselines, and guidelines.
  • Develop and conduct information security training and awareness programs.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for current assets and operations, including metadata.
  • Adjust and plan budgets for the next year, managing predictions and calculations of CAPEX and OPEX to ensure the existence of robust helpdesk and IT support services.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related Engineering fields.
  • ITIL orientation or certification.
  • Excellent command of the English language.
  • Strong technical analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team player.
  • Personal qualities including drive, energy, and enthusiasm are essential.
  • Proficient in IT technical analysis and problem-solving.
  • CCNP R&S certification is mandatory.
  • Expertise in Cisco's various platforms, including Wireless Controllers and access points.
  • Good understanding of Cisco LAN based on core/access architecture, ACI, and SD-Access.
  • Solid knowledge of Firepower and Forcepoint firewalls.
  • Advanced proficiency in CISCO ISE.
  • Deep understanding of communication protocols, particularly TCP/IP.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot various firewalls and WAF.
