Introduction

This statement, which applies to www.eui.edu.eg, explains what information we collect from users of our platform (Website), including information that can be used to identify you ("Personal Information") personally and how we use them. By using EUI's Website, you agree to our collection and use of information per this Privacy Statement. The terms ("we," "us," "our," and "EUI") are frequently used to refer to Egypt University of Informatics.

This statement applies to any user or visitor to EUI's platforms.

EUI reserves the right to modify this statement at any time, and users should periodically check our Website, including this privacy page, for updates on this Privacy Statement.

Types of information we collect

EUI collects Personal Information about you where we have lawful bases. Lawful bases include consent (where you have given consent) and through several forms available on the Website, including but not limited to; information that you give us when you create an account, contact us, or otherwise access or use on our online platforms. We also collect any information you voluntarily submit to us and information regarding how you use the Website. The preceding includes your internet protocol address (i.e., I.P. address), browser type, geographical area, and responses to surveys we may ask you to complete for research purposes or to help direct our activities. Browser and device information is collected through technologies such as cookies and request information for new or prospective new users, including your name, email, and telephone number.

We also collect data on website visitors through Google Analytics to get information about website traffic and measurements.

How we use this information

Our use of the information collected includes but is not limited to the following:

  • Delivering and improving the overall user experience and making sound marketing decisions on the Website.
  • Creating a better user experience for website users.
  • Linking or combining user information with other Personal Information.

EUI does not rent, sell, or share your Personal Information with other people or non-affiliated third parties for commercial reasons except to provide any service you have requested or authorized.

To help us do our work, we may provide access to some of your Personal Information to vendors for Website and email management third parties to enhance such services.

EUI will also share Personal Information with third parties, organizations, or individuals outside of EUI if we have a good-faith belief that access and use. Preservation or disclosure of your Personal Information is reasonably necessary to detect or protect against fraud or security issues, enforce our terms of use, meet any enforceable government request, defend against legal claims, or protect against violating our legal rights or safety. All information collected through Google Analytics and I.P.s information remains anonymous.

How Do We Use Tracking Technologies?

EUI takes reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, or destruction. Unfortunately, no data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. The safety and security of your Personal Information also depend on you. Suppose you choose to share any Personal Information on EUI's pages on social media. Others can use this information in that case, and EUI will not be held responsible for publicly sharing such information. By using the Website, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.
